Getriebebau seit 150 Jahren
Im Jahre 1872 wird in Dessau die Berlin-Anhaltische Maschinenbau AG (BAMAG) gegründet. Schon damals war das Unternehmen auf dem Gebiet der Antriebstechnik tätig und baute
unter anderem Otto‘sche Gasmaschinen sowie Transmissionen und Kupplungen.
Seit 1918 konzentriert sich das Werk auf die Produktion von Getrieben, Elektrozügen und Kupplungen. Nach der teilweisen Zerstörung im 2. Weltkrieg wird das Werk im Jahre 1953 wieder aufgebaut.
Unter dem Namen ABUS werden Getriebe für den Anlagenbau, den Schiffbau sowie für Walzwerks- und Gießereitechnik erfolgreich produziert und verkauft. 1964 entsteht ein neuer Produktionszweig:
Großplanetengetriebe.
Im Jahre 1994 erhält das Unternehmen eine neue Firmierung: ASUG Getriebewerk Dessau GmbH.
Seit Januar 2013 sind wir die Getriebetechnik Dessau GmbH.
Tradition
In 1872, the "Berlin-Anhaltische Maschinenbau AG" was founded in Dessau. Even at that time, the company was active in the field of drive technology, including the production of Otto gasoline engines, transmission and coupling gear sets. From 1918, the factory started to focus on the production of gear sets, electric hoists and coupling gear sets. After World War II, when parts of the production units were totally destroyed, the factory was rebuilt in 1953. Under the name ABUS, the business restarted producing gear sets for use in industrial plants and the shipbuilding industry; they were also integrated into rolling mill and foundry equipment. In 1964, a new production branch was launched: the construction of large-scale planetary gear assemblies. In 1994, the company received a new name and legal structure, ASUG Getriebewerk Dessau GmbH. In January 2013, the company was renamed Getriebetechnik Dessau GmbH.
